Sustainability
We are a digital services group; we have no factory, no fleet and no production line. This page describes what is actually within our control rather than what is not.
An honest frame
Sustainability pages are too often filled with claims unrelated to what the company actually does. We have chosen to keep this one to the three areas within our reach: the energy and hardware we use, the people we work with, and the order of the decisions we make.
We do not set targets for things we do not measure. Some of the items below are what we do today and some are targets we have not reached yet — we have written them separately.
Three headings
Environmental
Most of our footprint comes from server energy and hardware lifespan. That is also where we have control: efficient infrastructure and long use.
Social
In a services group the largest resource is people. Working conditions, room to learn and fair pay are what this heading means in practice.
Governance
Transparent reporting, managing conflicts of interest and data security. Detailed on the Governance and Ethics page.
What we do today
- We size hosting and server resources to real usage and shut down what is not used.
- We treat building light websites as the standard: less data transferred, less energy, faster pages.
- We do not replace laptops and hardware before the end of their useful life, and we do not discard equipment that still works.
- We support remote and hybrid work and avoid travel that is not necessary.
- Hiring and promotion decisions rest solely on what the work requires.
- We pay on the date written in the contract; we do not delay payment to finance ourselves at a supplier's expense.
Our 2027 targets
Items we have not reached yet and are working on.
- Make hosting-related energy consumption measurable across the group and publish it annually.
- Make a performance budget mandatory on every newly built project.
- Define an annual learning budget and protected learning time for every employee.
- Put environmental and ethical criteria for supplier selection into a written checklist.
- Publish an annual group sustainability note — short, numerical and auditable.
Reporting
This page is updated at least once a year. If a target is missed it is not removed; we write that it was missed and why.
